Altman on Administration’s Approach to Development Review
11/11/2008 |
We want to fix a broken process but keep business moving while we do this. There will be no big unveiling of a new Rube Goldberg machine that signals a totally new development review process. We want to signal to developers that we want their investment in our city. We welcome suggestions on how we can do this. That said, the budget is tight and there is no new source of capital to stimulate new investment. Land is a resource the city does have however and we are working to get a handle on our inventory of publicly owned parcels with economic development potential.
