The ZBA will limit its decisions to the zoning code and not provide opinions on design or materials in the future. Several developers and attorneys in the Coalition asked why it was taking four months to obtain a hearing before the ZBA when just a year ago, the ZBA was able to hold hearings within a month of a request. The Deputy Mayor agreed to look into that. Greenberger asked how zoning attorneys at the table how many of the matters before the board could be dealt with administratively and perhaps do not need to be reviewed by the Zoning Board of Adjustments. The answers of the zoning lawyers in the room varied from 50 to 70% of all matters under review.
